Reflecting on the competition, Stephen Curry praised Ionescu’s performance, acknowledging her as the benchmark. He described the event as “uncharted territory.”

The idea for the matchup originated after Ionescu’s exceptional showing at last year’s WNBA 3-point contest, where she shattered records, igniting the desire for this compelling showdown.
